What the app stores locally

The following information is stored in the app's local storage on your phone:

• Profiles you create: name, age, role, average cycle length, logged cycle dates, optional likes and dislikes, custom notes, birth details you choose to provide, and mood or symptom entries you log.
• App settings: language, alerts, week start, default cycle length, personalization preferences and an optional app-lock PIN.
• Support-list items you add.
• Optional guidance journal: context entries and their declared source, availability and plans, displayed suggestions, outcome feedback and reasons, hidden actions and edited wording. Learning stays separate for each profile. Displaying a suggestion does not establish that it was read or tried.

Sharing and exports you choose

Profile information stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it. Examples include an encrypted QR or file update, a PDF report, a backup file, or events added to your own calendar. Once you choose another app or service as the destination, that provider handles the information under its own terms and privacy practices.

In the new guidance journal, only self-entries individually opted into sharing are included in an encrypted profile update. Supporter impressions, outcome feedback, availability and hidden actions are not included in that journal payload. Other profile fields retain their existing sharing behavior. The sharing choice applies to new entries, not earlier ones. A recipient retains their copy; deleting or changing your records does not revoke copies already sent.

New full backups use authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption and a separate recovery key. Keep that key safe and separate from the file: Sangtinel cannot recover a lost key. Older unencrypted backups remain importable but are not retroactively encrypted. Reports, calendar exports and files already saved outside the app remain outside its storage protection.

Permissions the app may request

• Notifications: to deliver the cycle alerts and daily guidance you enable.
• Calendar: only when you choose to add cycle events to a calendar on your device.
• Camera: only when you choose to scan an encrypted profile-sharing QR code.

Analytics, advertising and third parties

Sangtinel does not use advertising or behavioral analytics to generate guidance. Pro purchases and restoration use the Apple App Store or Google Play together with RevenueCat to manage purchase status and access. The app does not send cycle profiles or the guidance journal to RevenueCat for recommendation generation. These purchase services process purchase-related information under their own privacy practices.

Children

Sangtinel is intended for adults. It is not directed at children. A father may create a daughter profile only with appropriate knowledge, consent and responsible adult oversight.

Consent and responsible use

Use Sangtinel openly, with the knowledge and agreement of the person whose cycle information is recorded. Respect her boundaries and choices about what to record or share. The app is not intended for covert monitoring or control.

Your choices

• Export a backup: use the data and backup controls in Settings, and store the separate recovery key safely.
• Correct guidance feedback: review recent suggestions, change or remove their feedback, and restore hidden actions. Logging is optional.
• Delete everything: clear all app data from Settings. This removes local profiles, journals, settings and support-list items from that device, but not exported files or recipient copies.

Security and data recovery

Protect access to your device and any files you export. Device loss, uninstalling the app or clearing its storage may cause local data loss. Because Sangtinel has no synchronization server, we cannot recover your profiles.

Native app storage uses encryption. If encrypted storage cannot be read, the app blocks access and offers recovery instead of silently opening an empty profile list. A valid backup and its recovery key are needed to restore exported data. Native-device recovery testing remains part of the release checks.

The web preview is a demonstration with unencrypted browser storage, not equivalent to native app storage. Use fictional profiles only in the web preview.

Wellness and medical information

Sangtinel provides general wellness and educational information. Cycle dates, fertile windows and daily suggestions are estimates, not medical measurements or advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional about medical concerns.
